Two Cracking Classics, Shown on One Great Sporting Website
Published: March 19, 2015Everygame is the place to be this weekend, as European football celebrates two matches involving four red hot rivals. Not only is the world famous online sportsbook going to be taking bets on both of these major clashes, but they will also be showing both games live on their sports betting website.
Liverpool vs. Man Utd - the Reds take on the Red Devils at Anfield
First, over to the Barclays Premier League on Sunday, where Liverpool host Manchester United in what is being billed as a potential Champions League spot decider. True, there's a long way to go after this game, but as we're approaching the business end of the season, and both teams are only separated by two points, the outcome of this game is massive.
In recent years, Liverpool vs. United has lost its importance in terms of the league table. It has nonetheless remained a heated encounter between England's two bitterest rivals. This time around, though, the match has purpose. Louis Van Gaal's United are on a high after thumping Spurs last weekend, whilst Brendan Rodger's revived Liverpool are also on hot form. Earlier in the season, United had the bragging rights, but Steven Gerrard will want to end his final "derby" game on a high.
If United play the way they did against Spurs, it'll be tough for Liverpool to get a toe-hold on the game, even at Anfield. But, should United slip up in formation, tactics and "philosophy" as they have tended to do of late, the Reds could very well punish them. This is not one of those matches where United are going to be able to grind out a result. Whoever wins will have to do it the hard way, with solid, attacking and fluid football.
This game is going to get nasty, it is going to get tasty, and both will surely give it their all. Liverpool are fancied at 2.05 to take the win, with a draw paying 3.40 at Everygame. Personally, I can't see United slipping up here, so the draw is favourable, if they don't go all the way and pocket the 3.60 win themselves. The choice of these great Everygame odds, though, is up to you.
Barcelona vs. Real Madrid - the Classico has never been more important
Over in Spain, also on Sunday night, F.C. Barcelona are playing host to their own bitterest rivals, in Real Madrid C.F. Real Madrid have slipped up of late, and have now fallen behind Barca in the La Liga table. They are only a point behind, but that can mean so much come the end of the season.
Madrid's form has seen them fail to win in 2 of their last 5 games, with Ronaldo and Bale (the world's ex-most expensive player and the world's most expensive player, respectively), have come in for criticism of late. Barcelona on the other hand, appear to be flying. One has to imagine that will they continue to do so, pending the outcome of their Champions League clash with Manchester City. It really is a busy weekend for Barcelona, and that could play into Madrid's hands.
Whoever wins this encounter will hold a more comfortable lead come Monday morning. Barca could be four points clear, Real could be two points clear, or the gap could remain at just a single point. Personally, I can see only a Barca win or a draw, and Everygame agrees. They offer odds of 1.66 for a home win, whilst a Real win could net you 4.50. Should the game end in a stalemate, then you're looking at taking home 4.50 with Everygame.
Everything hangs on the UEFA Champions League tie, though. If Barcelona were to lose, their morale and fitness could be sapped enough for Madrid to take advantage of. Naturally then, the scale would tip in Real's favour and the odds would change. If you want to cover your bases, back Real Madrid now.
