The race for the Premier League title is on!

After Liverpool's failure to beat Chelsea on the weekend, the race for the Premier League crown is back on, and it has never been hotter than this! Liverpool remain top of the table at this moment in time, three points clear of third-placed Manchester City, although City do have a game in hand on the Reds. Chelsea should also not be counted out, as they are just two points behind Liverpool in second. So with, just two weekends to go until the end of the Premier League season, who is likely to end up as champions?

Manchester City

Everygame currently has Manchester City as title favourites at 1.80, and to be honest - the title is theirs to lose. Although three points behind Liverpool, City do have a game in hand, and have eight goals more than Liverpool. If they were to win all their remaining fixtures, and Liverpool win theirs, then it is highly likely that City would win the league on goal difference. Everton, Aston Villa and West Ham United stand in their way, and with Villa and West Ham almost assured of Premiership survival, they may not have too much to play for. Everton pose a significant threat to City's title charge, although Arsenal's win on Monday has meant that the Toffees' chances of Champions League football are virtually none. Can City beat their three remaining opponents? You would have to say so. Barring no further slip-ups, they should win the league.

Liverpool

Liverpool however, are still in with a superb chance. Their failure to break down Chelsea and Steven Gerrard's slip have cost them dearly though, there's no mistake about it. Liverpool are 2.25 to win the league with Everygame. If they were to win their remaining two fixtures with massive score lines, and City were to win their remaining three, Liverpool could still be champions. It may just come down to who has the better goal difference. Liverpool face Crystal Palace next, and although assured of Premier League football next season, Palace will want to prove a point, as they have currently being doing under Tony Pulis. Newcastle United are Liverpool's final opponents and they must win their games in order to finish as high up as possible. They have been atrocious of late, so a win would be very welcome for Alan Pardew's men.

Chelsea

And what of Chelsea then? Realistically, Jose Mourinho is right – they don't have much of a chance. It is a long shot to ask both Liverpool and Manchester City to lose a game each. Even then, Chelsea would need to beat both of their final opponents. Chelsea are a high 15.00 to win the league with Everygame. Relegation threatened Norwich City and Cardiff City are fighting for their lives, and both would give anything for a point, therefore ruining their party. If Chelsea defeat Atletico Madrid, they will likely back off from the title hunt, in order to focus on the Champions League final. If they lose, you can be sure they will be going hell for leather in their final two games. Realistically though, it is too much to ask for Chelsea to win the league.

Manchester City are in pole position to claim their second ever Premier League crown, meaning Liverpool's long wait for the title may take a little longer. However, this Premier League season has been full of twists and turns, so why not one more? Everygame are prepared for all eventualities, the question is, are you?
